DJ's & MC's
AMMY JASSAL (PARADOX)
One of the pioneering DJs of the early Jungalist / DnB
movement, Ammy is a veteran DJ of the south coast started DJ'ing in Martines in
Eastleigh when he was 14 (circa 1984/7). If you ever went to nappy night or jelly
and ice cream night (or whatever you called it) (Under 18s nights) then it was
probably Ammy spinning the tunes. He was
into hip hop and electro and used to be into breaking back then as well.
From there he moved onto the hardcore scene! with DJ sets for huge events such as Fantazia, Raindance, Obsession & Sterns (circa 89/92) that was when he met and joined forces with Anil Sood of PARADOX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLPRBqbdKjw who runs tripp2 records soon becoming a Jungalist Soldier and started on the RnB scene with the likes of DJ Flash and FIRIN' SQUAD ! Having met so many great DJs and MCs in the scene Ammy is glad to say that he is torn between the scenes as it means you will see him at a DnB event, Hardcore, RnB, House, Garage and many more. Ammy is a regular legend on the local music scene, still going out to play most nights still DJ'ing everywhere (not just a dnb hardcore). Ammys Words 'If you see me come say hi ok, its people like you who made me what I am i'm not an arrogant or stuck up dj not like most of em! jokes aside i'm just a dj after all! playin what you guys ask me to. One love !' https://mixcloud.com/djammyparadoxjassal/ https://soundcloud.com/dj-ammy-jassal |
FAST & FLUID - Ian D www.facebook.com/FastAndFluid“Ian D” Smith (aka DJ Fast and Fluid) first made his mark on the London club scene in the mid 1990s, launching “Pulse” at The Pardise Club in Islington and “Gridlock!” at the Fridge in Brixton before taking up residencies at Bromptons in Earl’s Court and Heaven (Europe’s biggest and most famous gay nightclub) in Charing Cross, where he dominated the main dance floor with six hour sets for the best part of 3 years.
As a journalist, Ian was responsible for launching “Prime Cuts” dance music review magazine, and regularly wrote for the American “Dance Music Authority” magazine and the UK music industry insider’s news-sheet “The Tip Sheet”. As remixer/producer “Primax” (Prime Cuts – To The Max!) Ian has remixed UK Top 20 hits for artists as diverse as St Etienne, Clock and RAF, and had several solo singles released to huge commercial success in Australia and Israel. He has also helped create first-time Top 30 hits for bands like Clock and 2wo Third3 with legendary producers Phil Harding and Ian Curnow (Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue, East 17, Dead Or Alive etc) under the name “Primax and the Power Syndicate”. Bishops Waltham Festival represents Ian’s first ever public DJ performance in his home county (aside from a small preparatory warm-up pub gig) where he promises to live up to the “Fast and Fluid” name by playing a mash-up of “Old pop dance favourites given a new twist” together with popular new EDM hits. |
